FAQs

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Our intention for the welcome party is to hang out with you all before the wedding, over some evening drinks. Kevin and I will be in cocktail attire and we encourage you to join us in dressing up a little! For the wedding, dress code is cocktail or formal attire. If you’re looking for more specific direction, the venue is a vintage furniture store and Kevin and I will be leaning into a bit of a vintage theme. Think moody colors and a vintage aesthetic that is more modern renaissance than art deco.

Are children welcome?

Yes, definitely! Just let us know in your RSVP so we can organize seating and food for your kiddos.

Will there be vegan/vegetarian/gluten-free food options?

There will be options for everyone! There are hors d’oeuvres that will span the entire range of dietary restrictions. Dinner will be family style and we are making an effort to include something for everyone :)

Safety in Chicago!

Chicago gets a bad rep, safety-wise. We don’t want people to be overly concerned, but we also can’t ignore the fact that it’s a big city and crime does happen. The areas we have suggested for accommodations are safe and well populated areas. As in any big city, it is still always best to be aware of your surroundings! Our main recommendation safety-wise is to take taxis or use rideshare services come nightfall. We can’t, in good conscience, recommend public transit at nighttime. If you are flying in and looking to take public transit from the airport to the city, please only do so during the day. If the transit is more than you’re able to pay, please let us know and we make efforts to arrange rides with those who have cars. If you have any concerns or questions regarding your safety and wellbeing, please don’t hesitate to ask.
